imageHere’s a tip sent to me by a buddy here at Microsoft.  Apparently we don’t document this anywhere so I thought for now we could at least put it out on the blog.

Summary: This article describes how to determine which version of System Center Configuration Manager 2007 is installed on your server, and explains the differences between the versions.

Determining the version:

1) Open the ConfigMgr admin Console.

2) Navigate to Site Database, then Site Management.

3) Right-click on your site and select Properties.

4) The version will be listed on the properties screen.

ConfigMgr RTM - 4.00.5931.0000

ConfigMgr SP1 - 4.00.6221.1000
The “R2 installed” field will state “No”.

ConfigMgr R2 - 4.00.6221.1000
The “R2 installed” field will state “Yes”.
